Summer school

Designing research and writing papers on culture and behavior:

An intensive training seminar

June 15-20, 2012, Moscow region

 

International Laboratory for Socio-Cultural Research would like to invite you to attend the II Summer School of ILSCR:  “Designing research and writing papers on culture and behavior: An intensive training seminar”. 

Within five days participants will have a possibility to obtain an intensive training in three main stages of conducting research and presenting its results under the guidance of leading researchers Shalom H. Schwartz, Peter Schmidt and Ronald Fischer:

·  Formulating hypotheses;

·  Designing questionnaires;

·  Writing and revising papers.

In addition, participants will have an opportunity to attend lectures of leading scholars in the area of social capital (Henk Flap, Utrecht University) and cross-cultural management (Peter Smith, Sussex University).

Peter Smith, Emeritus professor of psychology in Sussex University, UK, will also hold a workshop on cross-cultural management.

Working language of Summer School is English.

 

How to apply?

Researchers and teachers of HSE are invited to apply for participation.

Applications are accepted electronically via e-mail (summer.school.applications@yandex.ru), the deadline is April 15, 2012.

An application includes:

     ·  Application form;

   ·  Research paper in English, prepared for publication, or published in HSE preprints. In the absence of such, current research project description (1000-2000 words + references) with a short abstract (no longer than 200 words).

The results will be announced on May 15, 2012. For applicants, selected by organizers, participation is free of charge. Selected applicants are required to confirm participation in Summer School until May 20, 2012.
