Congratulations to Azhariya Karimova on her brilliant dissertation defense!

On May 29, 2026, Azhariya Mukhamadovna Karimova, research intern at the Centre for Sociocultural Research, successfully defended her doctoral dissertation titled "Interethnic Preferences of Students in Multicultural Classrooms in Russia and Tajikistan: The Role of School Climate and Interaction Strategies."

The dissertation committee recommended awarding Azhariya the degree of Candidate of Psychological Sciences with distinction, highlighting the relevance and scholarly significance of her research.

A special congratulations goes to Azhariya's academic supervisor, Ekaterina Valeryevna Bushina — this is her first doctoral student to successfully defend under her supervision. A double reason to celebrate!
