Chief research fellow Zarina Lepshokova spoke at the Drobizhev Readings with a report on “Perceived Inclusiveness of Context, Identity and Acculturation of Russians in Estonia”


On June 2, at the All-Russian Conference Drobizhev Readings: “Ethnic and Social Dimensions”, in the framework of the section of Doctor of Sociological Sciences Vladimir Izyavich Mukomel “Identity and values of representatives of migrant ethnic minorities in the context of their integration”, a report by Zarina Lepshokova was presented on the topic: “Perceived inclusiveness of context, identity and acculturation of Russians in Estonia*.” The report talked about several generations of Russians living in Estonia and how their perceived degree of inclusiveness of the modern socio-cultural context of Estonia is reflected in the expression of their social identities and the choice of acculturation strategies. In addition to the report by Zarina Lepshokova, Doctor of Sociological Sciences Tatyana Nikolaevna Yudina, Doctor of Sociological Sciences Galina Ivanovna Osadchaya, Candidate of Sociological Sciences Anna Aleksandrovna Andrewshko from the Institute of Demographic Research of the Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences also made presentations at the readings.
