From June 13 to 17, the XIII Summer School on the topic “Development of cross-cultural research design” was held at the Center for Sociocultural Research.

This year the summer school was dedicated to qualitative methodology. School participants - undergraduates, graduate students and staff of the National Research University Higher School of Economics - became familiar with traditional and advanced methods of collecting and analyzing data, as well as preparing publications.

One of the most striking events of the school was Anna Vladimirovna Strelnikova’s lecture on the topic “Coding qualitative data.” After the lectures, school participants tried to apply the acquired knowledge to their data in the Dedoose program.

The school was also a good opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate students to present their research work and receive feedback from senior colleagues on how their research could be improved. The atmosphere at the school was very friendly and inspiring, it charged me with energy and gave me a lot of insights.

We thank the participants and lecturers, and look forward to new meetings with those in love with psychological science at other events of the Center for Sociocultural Research!
