Asya Karimova, a Junior Research Fellow of the Center for sociocultural research, took part in the International Conference “VECTORS 2025”

On February 8, 2025, the XXI International Scientific-Practical Conference “Trends in Education Development” took place on the Shaninka platform as part of the “VECTORS 2025” project. Among the participants was Asya Karimova, a researcher from the Center for Sociocultural Research.

In the section “Polycultural Education: Opportunities for Cultural Dialogue,” she presented a report titled “Cooperation vs. Competition: The Role of Intercultural Climate and Ethnic Diversity.” In her speech, Karimova highlighted the influence of the cultural environment on the educational process, discussed how schools’ intercultural climates can foster either cooperation or competition among students, and shared findings from her research on the role of ethnic diversity in this dynamic.

The report sparked active discussion among the section’s participants, underscoring the importance of cultivating a constructive intercultural climate in educational institutions.

The Center for Sociocultural Research continues to actively engage in academic discourse and contribute to the advancement of interdisciplinary approaches to studying education and intercultural interactions.
