4th Summer School "Designing a mixed-method research in cross-cultural psychology"

The Higher School of Economics International Laboratory of Socio-Cultural Research  announces a call for participation in the 4th Summer School “Designing a mixed-method research in cross-cultural psychology”.

The Higher School of Economics International Laboratory of Socio-Cultural Research announces a call for participation in the 4th  Summer School “Designing a mixed-method research in cross-cultural psychology”.

The School will be held in Moscow region from 7th till 9th of June 2014. During three days of the School, participants will take an intensive training course on designing and preparing a mixed-method research in the field of cross-cultural psychology. 

Participants will work on their projects under the supervision of leading international scholars: Shalom H. Schwartz (PhD, Professor Emeritus, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem/HSE International Laboratory for Socio-Cultural Research), Seger Breugelmans (PhD, Assistant Professor, Tilburg University/HSE International Laboratory for Socio-Cultural Research) and Fons van de Vijver (PhD, Professor, Tilburg University).

Working language of the School is English.

Conditions of participation

Researchers NRU HSE only are invited to participate.

For participation in Summer School, applicant should fill out application form (ссылка) and write abstract of his/her own research project in English in following research fields: value transmission, social capital, psychology of poverty, prejudice. All forms should be e-mailed to ilscr.hse@gmail.com until April 20, 2014

The abstract should describe study justification (problem), goals, objectives, theoretical background, hypotheses, sample description, and methodology of the study. Volume - 5-7 pages, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing. Make sure that sent material is written independently without the help of translator or editor.

Results of the competitive selection will be announced until May 15, 2014. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject an application without explanation

Participation in the School is free for members who have passed competitive selection. Participants selected should confirm their participation before May 20, 2014.
