The Illegal Street Kiosks and Environmental Psychology
On April 7 Kirill Ilnitski (PhD, researcher at Centre for Aesthetics in Practice and Community Design, University of Trento) took part in the "Culture matters" research seminar with the report on "The Illegal Street Kiosks and Environmental Psychology".
The recent demolition of the street kiosks in Moscow is actively discussed in the media. The subject was actively reviewed from the economic, political and legal positions, but its psychological aspect - the problem of the impact of such an artificial environment on a person- was not addressed.
At the beginning of the report discussed issues related to perceptual comfort and environmental well-being, which in turn are essential components of quality of life. In the second part of the report, the programme of further research for the coming year was announced.
