Conference "Research Frontiers of Culture and Psychological Processes"

On June 23 the HSE building at Pokrovsky Boulevard hosted an international mini-conference, organized by the International Laboratory of socio-cultural research, "Research Frontiers of Culture and Psychological Processes".

There were well-known cross-cultural psychologists who participated at the conference: Shalom Schwartz (Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel; HSE, the report "Roots of culture: historical and social structure sources of variation in cultural egalitarianism"), Kwok Leung (City University of Hong Kong, China, the report "Harmony – a Chinese concept that has universal implications for social exchange"), Yoshi Kashima (University of Melbourne, Australia, the report "Co-construction of cultural and social structures in social interaction"), Emiko Kashima (La Trobe University, Australia, the report "Threat and cultural reproduction"), Michael Morris (Columbia University, USA, the report "Psychological Dynamics of Cultural Norms (Consensus Perceptions): Insights from Comparing Two Kinds of Biculturals Individuals"), Adam Cohen (Arizona State University, USA, the report "Religion, culture, and generosity"), Raymond Friedman (Vanderbilt University, USA, the report "Culture’s impact on behavioral integrity: when is a promise not a promise?"). Chairman of the conference was the head of the International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology (IACCP) Kwok Leung.
