I Student Scientific Conference “Applied Social Psychology”
Members of the International Scientific-Educational Laboratory for Socio-Cultural Research organized The First Student Conference on Social Psychology on February 28.
It should be noted that the date of the conference was coincided with a Welcome Lab Day - the day of open doors for students 9-11th grades and entrants who were able to touch the life of the faculty of psychology and the laboratory and listen to the reports of students. The conference program included two sections with a little coffee break between them, in which participants and the audience could relax and eat biscuits and sandwiches.
The Senior Researcher Maria Efremovaand the Junior Researcher Zarina Lepshokova were leading the conference. After the speeches of participants senior researcher of ILSCR Alexander Tatarko presented the Master program “Applied Social Psychology” and marked its uniqueness. In addition to the Master program he said about the activity of ILSCR. He highlighted its development and achievements. In the end of the conference, the Head of ILSCR Nadezhda Lebedeva congratulated students and presented certificates of participation in the conference. In general, the atmosphere of the conference was friendly and pleasant as the participants spoke in their interviews.
The Trainee Researcher of the lab Natalia Amerhanova was an interviewer and asked participants to share their impressions about the event.
M. Hite, a 4th year student, had a report called “The complexity of social identity: the relationship with the ego-identity" and said that the conference presented wide range of problems of social psychology, so it was really interesting to listen participants and to share experiences.
O. Redkin, a student of the Faculty of Economics in HSE, made a presentation "Psychology as the discipline of the economics. Neuroeconomics: a socio-economic view" and shared pleasant impressions of the conference. He spoke about the friendly atmosphere and the applied nature of presented studies.
G. Smirnova, a 5th year student of the Academy of Social Management had a report "Investigation of the motivational component of the advertising" and said in her interview that she gained a great experience due to this conference.
A. Nevryuev, a 5th year student of the psychology faculty, made a presentation "Strategies of conflict behavior of the students of psychological and no psychological faculties" and expressed his admiration for the organizers of the conference and for the Higher School of Economics.
N. Bogatov, a 4th year student of psychology faculty in the HSE, a trainee researcher of ILSCR, spoke about his diploma research called "Social capital as a factor of psychological readiness for business" and expressed positive emotions after the conference.
In general, all participants were satisfied and thanked the conference organizers for the wonderful opportunity to present their research and share experiences with other participants. All interviewed participants expressed a wish to make this event regular.
