“Human and Society”: Dmitry Igorevich Dubrov, researcher at CSCR spoke at the thematic platform of the All-Russian festival SCIENCE 0+
On October 7, a thematic platform “Human and Society” opened at the HSE Center for Cultures as part of the SCIENCE 0+ festival. Every year the NAUKA 0+ festival is held in many cities of Russia at a variety of venues. Its main goal is to involve young people in the scientific agenda and establish a close connection between science and society. The festival brings together those who have been involved and interested in science for a long time, and those who are just beginning to get acquainted with any particular field. Every year in Moscow over 850 thousand people come to the event - from preschoolers to representatives of the silver age. As part of the lecture part of the festival, Dmitry Igorevich Dubrov, a researcher at the Center for Sociocultural Research, gave a lecture on the topic “Why do people want to be beautiful?”
“Empirical research on the topic “Man and Society” is the calling card of our university,” comments Andrey Kozhanov, director of the Center for Academic Development of Students at the National Research University Higher School of Economics. “It’s great that, despite the bad weather, many spectators, families with children, and schoolchildren gathered at the lecture on Saturday. There were a lot of questions, a lot of emotions in the interactive area of the festival.”
