Laboratory staff have presented master's program "Applied Social Psychology" at the Winter School 2012

Winter psychological school for applicants to magistracy of psychological department of HSE was held in the Moscow region's hotel Klyazma from the 1'st to the 5'th of February. The head of the International Scientific-Educational Laboratory for Socio-Cultural Research N.M. Lebedeva, and laboratory staff, A.N. Tatarko, Z. H. Lepshokova, E.V. Osipova, S.V. Chuvashov, A.K. Stefanov organized presentation of the master's program "Applied Social Psychology."

Winter psychological school was held in the Moscow region's hotel Klyazma from the 1'st to the 5'th of February.
Students from universities and institutes in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan were able to meet the conditions and features of education on the Master psychological programs of HSE.

Also, the participants had a wonderful opportunity to talk and get advice from "first hand" from the leading professors of master's programs. In the evening, the active participants were conducted roundtables on issues raised during the day, and had the opportunity to consult informally with the organizers of the Winter School about the conditions of admission to Master's program psychology department HSE.
As part of the School, there were a large number of master classes, round tables, panel discussions and workshops on a wide range of applied and academic psychology. However, one of the most striking and memorable, according to some participants of the Winter School, was the last day of school. On this day, were presented to Master's programs: "Applied Social Psychology," and "Personology and existential psychotherapy."
The program "Applied Social Psychology," has attracted quite a large number of participants. Classes and lectures were held in the company of social, economic, cross-cultural psychologists, and was remembered, above all, its interactivity.
The day began with a presentation of this Master program by the director - Nadezhda Mikhailovna Lebedeva. Students were familiarized with the studying conditions, the prospects for further growth and development. Next, the students were conducted a training of ethnocultural competence, in which the participants were able to familiarize themselves with the consequence of negative stereotypes and prejudices that exist in modern society in relation to the representatives of different ethnic groups.
After the coffee break, Alexander Tatarko presented different case studies of actual practice of cross-cultural management: students got opportunity to assess how socio-cultural factors should be taken into account in management, organization and management of international companies.


Next, a master-class on the socio-psychological analysis of advertising effectiveness, conducted by Alla Borisovna Kupreychenko, was held. Participants under the professional counseling of professor and with help of the proposed advertise examples were able to independently assess the effectiveness of specific promotional products and learn the basic problems of creating advertising.
At the end of the training day, the participants were waited for the fun part – the socio-psychological analysis of the video material. They analyze some phenomenon of social psychology that participants could see while watching a small, very unexpected and emotionally charged commercials.
