On September 16, Professor Shalom Hillel Schwartz (Hebrew University of Jerusalem) took part in the “Culture matters” seminar. Prof. Schwartz is a research director at ISEL-SCR and the author of one of the most widely accepted theories of human values (Schwartz 1992, 1994).

The 22nd International Congress of the International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology (IACCP) was held on July 15 – 19, 2014 n Reims, France under the theme “Diversity, Equality, and Culture”.
From 8 to 13 July, Paris hosted the 28th International Congress of the Association of Applied Psychology (ICAP) organized by the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP).
On June 10-11 International Scientific-Educational Laboratory for Sociocultural Research has held an international conference “The social psychology of economic and cultural change”. They keynote speakers were : Cigdem Kagitcibasi (Koc University, Turkey), Shalom Schwartz (Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel), Fons van de Vijver (Tilburg University, Netherlands), and Seger Breugelmans (Tilburg University, Netherlands). Researchers from the Laboratory and other institutions also presented their research.
On June 6-9, the International Scientific-Educational Laboratory for Socio-Cultural Research held its fourth international Summer School. The summer school was focused on improving the research proposals of the participants and brininging them up to standards for publication of the leading international scientific journals.
On May 30-31, lab members Nadezhda Lebedeva, Alexander Tatarko and Tatiana Ryabichenko took part in the Fourth International Conference on Theory of Ethnic and Cross-Cultural Psychology. Read more...
