From July 2 to July 5, staff of the ILSCR took part in the XVI European Congress of Psychology (ECP 2019), which this year was held in Moscow.

IX Summer School "Design of Cross-Cultural Study"

27 - 30 June 2019 near Moscow there was the IX Summer School "Design of Cross-Cultural Study", organized by the International laboratory for socio-cultural research, Expert Institute, Higher School of Economics. The teachers of the school were the foreign researchers: Michael Bender (PhD, Assistant Professor, Tilburg University), Byron Adams (PhD, Assistant Professor, Tilburg University), and Ella Daniel (PhD, Assistant Professor, Tel Aviv University).

Participation in The Migration Conference 2019 Bari

From June 18 to June 20, the staff of the ILSCR took part in the 7th international conference of The Migration Conference 2019, the leading event of migration researchers organized this year at the University of Bari Aldo Moro (Bari, Italy).

Fons van de Vijver. Obituary

The world cross-cultural psychology and the International Laboratory for Socio-Cultural Research have suffered a heavy and irreparable loss: Fons van de Vijver, an outstanding psychologist, methodologist, author of more than 500 publications, mainly in the field of cross-cultural psychology, died suddenly at the age of 67 His main research topics included psychological acculturation and multiculturalism, cognitive similarities and differences, bias and equivalence, response styles, translations and adaptations. He is one of the most frequently cited cross-cultural psychologists in Europe.

Gudykunst Outstanding Book Award for his edited book: Mutual Intercultural Relations published by the Cambridge University Press, 2017.
